To ensure a smooth and uninterrupted import/export process for your commercial cargo with ‘Interhub Logistics,’ it is crucial to acquaint yourself with the regulations governing custom-restricted cargo. The inclusion of restricted items in your shipment may lead to potential losses, damages, or penalties during the customs clearance process. It’s important to note that InterHub Logistics reserves the right to decline or temporarily suspend the transportation of any package, and we assume no liability for any legal implications that may arise in connection with your shipments.

The inventory of items restricted or suspended for import in Sri Lanka undergoes periodic updates. It is the responsibility of the sender, Sander, to verify with the relevant authorities the permissible items for shipping before initiating the packing of goods.
Dispatching liquor via sea cargo is discouraged, and InterHub Logistics bears no responsibility for losses or forfeiture in the event of sending undeclared liquor. Additionally, any penalties incurred must be settled by the sender before the package is released.
Sending commercial quantities may result in severe penalties and the confiscation of goods, potentially leading to significant consequences such as loss, destruction, delays, and legal repercussions.

POTENTIAL CUSTOMS FEES
Commercial Tax: This tax is applicable to any product that appears more than five times in a single shipment. Consequently, the inclusion of the same item more than five times per shipment will incur tax, with the term “shipment” referring to the cumulative number of boxes.
Electrical Items: Sri Lankan customs impose a tax on electrical items exceeding a value of $75. This encompasses mobile devices, televisions, and household appliances such as refrigerators.
Vitamins: In the event of sending more than 400 capsules per shipment, customs will levy a tax on the consignment.
